Reede's Secret is built around an environmental entrance puzzle rather than a conventional fight. The locked shed cannot be approached through its front entrance for quest progress, so the solution is to change elevation: enter Hateno Village North Well, use its tunnel to reach the space under the shed, and then use Ascend to pass through the structure.

Ascend is most useful here as a positioning tool. The ability requires Link to be beneath a surface that can be traversed, which makes the tunnel's endpoint more important than the shed door itself. If the ability does not present the intended opportunity, adjust Link's position under the building instead of abandoning the well route.
